Tostada Waffles

To satisfy your taste for Tex-Mex, pull out the waffle iron

Yield: 10 4-inch square waffles

Ingredients

2 cups Bisquick Original baking mix
1 1/3 cups milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies, drained
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope (1-1/4 oz.) taco seasoning mix
6 cups finely shredded lettuce
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (1-1/2 cups) medium tomatoes, chopped
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 (1/4 cup) medium green onions, sliced

Directions:

Heat waffle iron; grease if necessary.

Stir baking mix, milk, oil and egg in large bowl until blended. Stir in chilies and chili powder. Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown. Carefully remove waffle.

Prepare beef and seasoning mix as directed on envelope of seasoning mix. Top each waffle with beef and remaining ingredients.
