Cheeseburger Salad

Yield: Serves 2 as a meal

Ingredients

4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1/2 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheese of choice
1 large ripe tomato, diced OR 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 small red onion, sliced
4 slices bacon, fried crisp
Thousand Island dressing
A1 steak sauce
2 buns, toasted

Directions:

In a small skillet, brown hamburger or turkey and garlic powder. Drain off fat and pat dry with a paper towel.

Divide the lettuce onto two large plates or bowls. Divide the cooked beef or turkey evenly and top lettuce while still warm. Add the shredded cheese, tomato, onion and crumbled bacon to each lettuce stack.

Top with Thousand Island dressing and drizzle a garnish of A1 Steak Sauce. Serve with warm toasted buns!
