Ingredients

1 pkg. Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
2 cans (8 oz.) Dole crushed pineapple in it's own juice
1 jar (6 oz.) maraschino cherries - cut cherries in half
1/3 cup brown sugar
Bakers Joy or other baking spray

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with baking spray and set aside.

In a large bowl combine all ingredients except the brown sugar until a smooth batter forms. Pour batter into prepared 9 x 13 pan and sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake as package directs or 32 to 35 minutes.

This also freezes well. Cut into serving size pieces to enjoy later!!

“This cake rocks! I think it's so much better than traditional Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The brown sugar caramelizes on top of the cake when it's baked and is the perfect topping.”
