Dress up a gift card.

Giving gift cards this year? Teachers, neighbors, friends, etc. It can be tricky to think of just the right gift to recognize each important person in your life. Gift cards are always appreciated & easy to give, but can lack a personal touch. Dress it up by filling a Mason Jar with their favorite candy or treat. Here are our easy step by step instructions.

  1. Fill mason jars with favorite candy. Unwrapped peppermints look lovely, red & green M&M’s are easy and anything goes. Just pick one they like.

  2. Cut a circle of wrapping paper to fit the top of the jar.

  3. Use a hole punch to attach curling ribbon to gift card envelope. Add homemade gift tag and tie a bow.

  4. Curl ribbon if desired.

All of these items, including mason jars are usually available in our stores. They look great & add that special touch that will be remembered. Need a quick gift tag? Print one here for FREE.

‘Tis the season to spend extra hours in the kitchen. Whether you have a baking day tradition or are working step by step to prepare a holiday dinner--spending more time in the kitchen is inevitable. Avoid looking at your phone or computer and go low tech . If possible, print out recipes and post on cabinets or at eye level. You’ll save time & won’t get sidetracked with the latest viral video or trying to get that perfect shot of your food for instagram. It happens. We know.

Keep foods warm with your cooler.

Timing all the food and dishes for a holiday meal can be a struggle in the average kitchen. Keep foods warm by wrapping them in towels and placing them in a cooler. No extra oven for warming necessary.

Don’t forget the take-home plasticware!

Share the love by picking up some festive holiday plasticware. Send home extras or favorites items with guests. They’ll enjoy all of your hard work a second time- and you’ll be glad your fridge isn’t overflowing.
