Ice Cream Floats with Homemade Ice Cream Cubes

A fun, easy and tasty dessert - with orange and chocolate variations!

  1. Combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, cocoa powder and salt straight into a medium sized pot.
  2. Place pot over high heat. Continue to stir while the milk heats and the sugar and cocoa powder dissolves (continual stirring prevents your sugar from burning on the bottom of the pot).
  3. Continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil, then remove from the heat entirely and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Once the liquid is cooled, pour into ice cube tray.
  5. Freeze in ice cube tray for 4 hours +.
  6. Serve cubes in a glass with cream soda. Top with whipped topping, chocolate shavings or sprinkles. Add a straw and enjoy!
