Price Chopper raises more then $208,000 for Check-Out Hunger Campaign

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – This winter, Price Chopper shoppers around the Kansas City area raised $208,692 to donate to Harvesters to help feed local families through Harvesters’ annual Check-Out Hunger campaign.

The donations, which were collected at all 51 Greater Kansas City Price Choppers at the checkout registers, will help provide over 626,000 meals. Donations will aid families and community members in the Kansas City area who are food insecure.

“The generosity of our customers is beyond words,” said Casie Broker, Chief Marketing Officer of Price Chopper. “On behalf of the Price Chopper family, thank you Kansas City for helping us take care of our friends and neighbors.”

Price Chopper has participated in Check-Out Hunger for more than 20 years. In the last five years alone, Price Chopper shoppers have donated more than $1 million to help fight food insecurity in the Kansas City area.
