Kids of all ages will enjoy these festive cake pops!

  1. Bake the cake as directed on the box. Cool, then crumble the cake into fine pieces in a bowl.
  2. Starting with ⅓ of the can, add icing to the cake crumbs until it reaches the movable consistency of play dough.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls and place on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet.
  4. Melt the chocolate or candy melt in the microwave or with a double boiler, stirring frequently. Do not overheat.
  5. Dip a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate and push it halfway into the center of the cake ball.
  6. Once all are complete, place the cookie sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up.
  7. Move the cake pops to the refrigerator so you can work a few at a time without them freezing.
  8. Dip the cake pop straight down into the melted chocolate to completely coat it up to the stick.
  9. Once covered, remove and gently rotate it sideways over the bowl o allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  10. Add sprinkles or decoration and place in a holder to harden.
