Customize this recipe for a quick meal that pleases the whole family.

  1. Cut protein and veggies into bit-sized pieces.
  2. Set a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat and allow it to get steaming hot. Swirl in 2 tablespoons canola oil (1 tablespoon if using a non-stick pan).
  3. Add your protein and cook until browned on each side (and cooked through if using chicken or pork). Remove the browned protein from the pan and set aside on a plate.
  4. Add Slow Cooking veggies into the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add Quick Cookies veggies (except garlic) and cook for another minute.
  6. If using garlic, add it now and cook for 30 seconds, moving garlic around the pan constantly to avoid burning.
  7. Return the meat to the pan and pour in the sauce. Toss well to coat all of the meat and vegetables. Let cook for one minute until bubbling.
  8. Turn the heat off. Serve hot with a side of cooked rice or noodles.

  10. Prepare all ingredients before you begin to cook. Stir-fries cook very quickly.
  11. Rice or noodle sides should be prepared before you start stir-frying.
  12. Make sure your pan is hot before adding ingredients.
  13. Stir, then let sit to fry. Then stir again and fry again. Do not stir continuously or your protein and vegetables will not brown.
  14. Use canola oil or peanut oil – you need an oil that can withstand heat.
