- Cut protein and veggies into bit-sized pieces.
- Set a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat and allow it to get steaming hot. Swirl in 2 tablespoons canola oil (1 tablespoon if using a non-stick pan).
- Add your protein and cook until browned on each side (and cooked through if using chicken or pork). Remove the browned protein from the pan and set aside on a plate.
- Add Slow Cooking veggies into the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Quick Cookies veggies (except garlic) and cook for another minute.
- If using garlic, add it now and cook for 30 seconds, moving garlic around the pan constantly to avoid burning.
- Return the meat to the pan and pour in the sauce. Toss well to coat all of the meat and vegetables. Let cook for one minute until bubbling.
- Turn the heat off. Serve hot with a side of cooked rice or noodles.
- TIPS
- Prepare all ingredients before you begin to cook. Stir-fries cook very quickly.
- Rice or noodle sides should be prepared before you start stir-frying.
- Make sure your pan is hot before adding ingredients.
- Stir, then let sit to fry. Then stir again and fry again. Do not stir continuously or your protein and vegetables will not brown.
- Use canola oil or peanut oil – you need an oil that can withstand heat.
