Linguine noodles cooked al dente and dyed into rainbow colors. A fun way to enjoy pasta anytime of the year.

  1. Cook linguine or spaghetti noodles according to package instructions.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, get the food coloring ready. You can use whatever colors you want. Add about 20 drops of each food coloring and 2 tablespoons water to gallon-size resealable bags.
  3. When the pasta is done, drain it in a strainer and immediately run cold water over it to halt the cooking.
  4. Transfer the pasta, portioning it as you go, into the bags of food coloring. Seal the bags, and mix the pasta and food coloring until well-combined. Let each bag sit for at least a minute.
  5. Then, one by one, return each batch of colored noodles to your strainer, give it a second, brief cold-water rinse, and transfer it back to your pot. When all of the colors of pasta have been rinsed and are back in the pot, toss the noodles together until you have a colorful mix.
  6. Serve with your favorite pasta toppings.
