Building Dreams One Field at a Time
At Price Chopper, we believe that every kid deserves a chance to play on the best field. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Kansas City Royals for Royalty Fields, an initiative that restores baseball/softball fields for local teams. We were lucky enough to restore two fields so far this year, one being at the J in Overland Park and one for the City of Olathe. Price Chopper is proud to play a part in helping local sports teams thrive, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Royals.

Kicking off the Cup
We hosted three soccer-themed events in Lees Summit, Lenexa and Overland Park to help Kickoff the Cup. With giveaways, games, a wide variety of vendors and more, shoppers were able to participate in the World Cup festivities without disrupting their routines. They were even able to meet Sporting KC alumni as well as take pictures and get autographs! We’re happy to be able to celebrate Kansas City’s involvement in the World Cup.
Fighting Hunger Together
Price Chopper loves helping our communities any way we can. That’s why we’re so proud to join with Harvesters and USPS on the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
Price Chopper printed and donating 600,000 grocery bags through our food drive, continuing the fight against hunger and food scarcity in the Kansas City Metro.
Shining a Light on Food Allergies
Food sensitivities are an often overlooked and under-discussed part of many people’s daily lives, with almost 33 million individuals and families in the U.S. having a food allergy. This year, Price Chopper helped fund Just Like You Films’ May Contain: My Life. Narrated by NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, this film helps shine a light on how food sensitivities can affect everyone.

Shopping with a Purpose
Price Chopper is honored to have worked with Braden’s Hope this Spring to help fund Children’s Cancer Research. Starting April 1st, shoppers at five Price Chopper stores in the metro could donate at checkout and donations were matched by an anonymous donor. Then from May 1- May 7, customers could purchase specialty marked items for a portion of the purchase to be donated. We’re incredibly proud to announce we raised over $106,000 this Spring to fight Children’s Cancer.
