July Kids Club Recap - Fresh Dish Post from Price Chopper

July Kids Club Recap

July 17th 2015

Our July event - Make your own Yogurt Parfaits was so much fun! We have a blast talking with the kids and we think their parents are okay too.:)   Have your kids asked to make them again at home? We hope that our in store events will spark their interest in helping in the kitchen & learning to make some of their own snacks.

This month we have 2 fun & FREE printables kids can make at home. Make your own ocean scene & a fish pop holder for those freezer pops kids love. Help the kids print them, get out the crayons, a few other simple supplies & have some fun creating one of a kind art.

Want to see your child's face on our next Kids Club Blog? Share your photos with us on Facebook, or tweet us a picture anytime using #PCKidsClub. We love to see & share their smiles. Don't forget we have more Kids in the Kitchen ideas for every day on our Pinterest board.

Peach season has arrived. Grab one and don’t be shy. Go ahead, take that big juicy bite and let the peach goodness drip down your chin... oh wait. That's not how you eat them? Maybe that’s just how we do it? Hmmm… Well, no matter how you eat them, it’s likely you’ve been talked into a Peach Cobbler or Peach Pie at some point in your life. Oh dessert- how we love you so... But with the warmer weather of summer, we tend to favor lighter bites & portions.

If you’ve ever found yourself in a pinch to prep for guests, be it an impromptu gathering with neighbors, last minute friends stopping by or extra kids showing up for dinner, it’s important to have some tricks up your sleeve to feed a hungry crowd in a hurry.
Fun & Fresh 4th of July
Fun & Fresh 4th of July
We love celebrating the 4th of July! Food, family, friends - did we mention food? This year we were inspired to add a fresh touch to our menu. After a few parties full of the standard cookout fare we start craving something with great flavor but a bit on the lighter side. Our Southwest Quinoa Salad is easy to make in advance and can be served chilled or room temp. No, it’s not red, white & blue, but we will get to that next!
